About me

My background and what I offer

I am a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, and have been a therapist in the NHS for the past 10 years. During this time I have worked with a vast amount of people, all with unique stories, backgrounds and difficulties. Currently I work in an NHS Talking Therapy Service in Central London as a Team Lead, Senior CBT Therapist, and supervisor.

I will often integrate aspects of other therapies into my work, for instance Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Schema Therapy.

I currently offer therapy for adults both in-person (Northwood area) and remotely, at £75 per session.

My interests and approach

I have a particular interest in understanding how childhood or traumatic experiences can shape our patterns of behaviours and thinking. Often these were useful at one stage in life, but can keep us stuck in adulthood.

With personal experience as a client in therapy I can relate to how difficult the process can feel. Therapy is hard, but it can also be life changing. Trusting someone new cannot always feel easy so it’s extremely important to me to create a safe, honest and non-judgemental space.

I will encourage, empower and compassionately challenge you to make steps towards a life you want.

My qualifications

I completed an undergraduate degree with the University of Exeter in Clinical Psychology, and then a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with Royal Holloway, University of London.

Since then I am fully accredited by the British Association for Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (BABCP), and can be found on their register here.
